Marshall was born and grew up in LeMoyne-Gardens in South Memphis before his family moved to Highland Heights, and he began attending Treadwell when he was in the 4th grade. He stayed at Treadwell through high school and graduated in 1996. After school, he spent several years in the Navy, then came back to Memphis and worked in restaurants. He now works in trucking and logistics, and runs his own BBQ business. He is very involved with the Treadwell alumni and in the Highland Heights community, serving on the board of The Corners Shalom Zone and the Heights Coalition, as well as the new Heights CDC.
"My favorite interview was with Mr. Marshall Massie. He inspires me to never forget where I come from and to always be proud of where I come from. He speaks so highly of the Neighborhood, unlike many people"
